Immigration

Visit the United States for Pleasure or for Business.

  • Visit the United States for Pleasure: You can obtain a visa to visit the U.S. for recreation, visit family members or friends or obtain medical treatment. Travelers from certain specified countries come to the U.S. on a Visa Waiver allowing you to remain in the U.S. for up to 90 days.

  • You can obtain a visa to travel to the U.S. for business purposes that include consulting with business associates, travel for a scientific, educational, professional or business convention, or conference on specific dates, settle an estate, or negotiate a contract, or working temporarily (under specifically defined circumstances)

Work Temporarily in the United States. You can come to the U.S. and work or stay temporarily in the following categories:

  • Fiancée

  • Employer sponsorships for: Executive or Manager, Professional worker, Agricultural worker, Entertainer, Athlete, Religious worker, Domestic helper

  • Investor 

  • Treaty Trader

  • Student 

  • Cultural Exchange

You can also be sponsored to work and obtain a green card if you can demonstrate that you are an alien who possesses extraordinary ability or achievement in the arts, science, education, athletics or business.

Migrate Permanently to the United States (obtain Green Card). You can obtain your green card through sponsorship in the following categories:

  • Relative of a U.S. Citizen or permanent Resident.

  • Employer: Labor certification /PERM, Church - or Religious organization, Priority worker (Nurse or Physical Therapist)

  • National Interest Waiver

  • Investment

  • Amnesty

  • Green Card Lottery

Naturalize (Become a U.S. Citizen)

  • After you have been a lawful permanent resident (green card holder), for five years, (3 years if you obtained your green card through marriage to a U.S. citizen), you are eligible to apply if you meet other requirements.
